Nancy L. Bayda

Nancy L. (Lorden) Bayda, 93, of Little Falls, N.J. passed away on Monday, March 2, 2026, in Little Falls.

Nancy was born on May 21, 1932, in Paterson to her loving parents, Harold B. Lorden and Anna M. (Brannan) Lorden.

Nancy dedicated her professional life to serving others as a pharmacist, for Stanton's Drugs and Shop Rite Pharmacy, Little Falls, a career she carried out with care and compassion for many years. Nancy was proud to have been one of four women in her graduating class at Rutgers College of Pharmacy in 1952. Beyond her work, she was deeply involved in her community. She was a longtime member of the Little Falls Women's Club and the Library Board and took great pride in supporting the local library. She was an avid reader with a wide variety book collection. Nancy was also a devoted member of a women's bowling league for many years and enjoyed the arts. Nancy was especially fond of attending performances at Carnegie Hall and seeing musicals at The Paper Mill Playhouse where she was a season ticket holder. She enjoyed many vacations with her family and later shared adventures in travel with her good friends, Angela Mazza and Dorothy Carin. She had a special love for dogs and treasured her beloved dog, Dorrie.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Anna Lorden, her husband Nicholas Bayda, and her son, Nicholas B. Bayda.

Nancy is survived by her beloved daughter, Nancy Anne Bayda and her husband Nicholas Bresnak; her loving dog, Dorrie and many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, March 9, 2026 from 4-8 p.m. at Gaita Memorial Home, 154 Newark Pompton Turnpike, Little Falls. Visitation will also take place on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with a funeral service to be held at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
