Nancy Catherine Bolt, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2025, at McLaren Port Huron Hospital surrounded by her family. Born on February 21, 1951, in St. Clair, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Florence (Longrie) Keltz. Nancy's life was a beautiful melody composed of love, family, and music, and her legacy will continue to resonate in the hearts of those who knew her.
Nancy's journey through life was marked by her devotion to her family and her passion for music. She found her soulmate in Ben, and they were united in marriage on August 23, 1991, in Plymouth. Together, they created harmonious memories and shared the joy of music as a duo for many years.
She is survived by her husband, Ben of 33 years whom she married on August 23, 1991; daughter, April (Mike Arizo) Hayes of Canton; stepsons, Kenton (Kimberly), Mitchell (Susan), Curtis, Barry (Andrea), and Scott (Amy) Bolt, all of Port Huron; grandchildren, Lucas, Hannah, Joey, Brandon, Cayce, Chris, Jennifer, Halley, Cheyenne, Olivia, Avery, and Jillian; great-grandchildren, Morgan and Tyler; sister, Sue (Randy) Tubbs of Hamilton, Ohio; nieces, Kathy, Chris, Colleen (Rob), Laurie, Sarah (Paul), and Stephanie (Greg); as well as many great-nieces and nephews and a multitude of dear friends will also cherish the memories they created with Nancy over the years.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Bernie, Dick, and Pete, who have welcomed her into eternal rest.
Nancy's educational journey started with two years at Central Michigan University, where she studied Music. Her love for music was not just a hobby but a way of life. She spent many years as a musician, singing, and playing the guitar, organ, and piano. Her creative spirit also found expression through her involvement with her nuns, Sisters Act Out.
Professionally, Nancy dedicated over 30 years to medical billing and IT at Oakwood Hospital, now known as Beaumont. Beyond her professional and musical endeavors, Nancy's interests were diverse and fulfilling. She found peace in her garden, the pages of a good book, and the laughter and stories shared with her family and friends. Family was most important in her life especially the moments spent with her grandchildren.
Nancy's life was a symphony of love, dedication, and kindness. Her melody will continue to play in the hearts of her loved ones, reminding them of the beauty and harmony she brought into this world.
A gathering and viewing will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Grace Memorial Life Celebration Center, 4521 Ravenswood Road, Kimball, MI 48074. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1331 7th St, Port Huron, MI 48060. Deacon Dennis Crimmins will officiate. Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. A reception will follow the service in The Lindke Hall at Grace Memorial.
