Nancy Bricco Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Westgor Funeral Home - Neenah on Jan. 26, 2026.
Nancy Lee Bricco, age 86, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2026.

Nancy was born on February 23, 1939, to Joseph and Florence (Van Linn) Kuehnl. She grew up surrounded by family and carried those close-knit values throughout her life.

In 1956, Nancy married her high school sweetheart, Richard Sorensen. Together they shared 20 years of marriage and raised four children.

In 1980, Nancy married Eugene "Fibber" Bricco, the love of her life. Their marriage brought deep companionship, laughter, and adventure. Nancy and Eugene shared a passion for golfing, fishing, bowling, and traveling, especially trips to Las Vegas, which held a special place in their hearts. Through their marriage, Nancy's family grew even larger as she warmly embraced Eugene's children as her own. Eugene preceded her in death in 2003.

Nancy had a creative spirit and loved painting. She was deeply committed to serving her community, volunteering with the Larsen–Winchester Lioness Club, where she proudly served as president from 2004 to 2005. She also volunteered at St. Mark's Lutheran Church Food Bank and at Theda Clark Hospital, working in the gift shop.

Her career spanned 20 years with Century Foods, where she served as Deli Manager, earning the respect of coworkers and customers through her dedication and friendly presence.

An adventurous traveler, Nancy crossed the pond to visit Ireland and Normandy, experiences she cherished deeply. She also traveled to Mexico with her children and grandchildren, where her fun-loving spirit earned her the unforgettable nickname "Grandma Boom Boom" after a memorable night at a Mexican nightclub - a name that perfectly captured her joyful personality.

Nancy loved being with people and cherished gathering with friends and family whenever she could, especially attending concerts, where her love of music and togetherness shone brightly.

After the passing of Eugene, Nancy found love again and spent the last 10 years of her life with her fiancé, Joe Bartman. They became engaged in 2014 and shared companionship, laughter, and devotion until Joe's passing in October 2025.

Nancy will be remembered for her generous heart, her creativity, her love of adventure, and her deep devotion to family. Her warmth, humor, and zest for life will live on in the many stories and memories shared by those who loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Florence Kuehnl; her daughter Denise Sorensen; brothers: Dan Wollersheim and Murial Kuehnl.

She is survived by her children: Susan (Bill) Van Den Eng, Todd (Julie) Sorensen, Debbie Sornsen; grandchildren: Paul (Maggie) Sorensen, Michael Sorensen, Tommy Canadeo, Erin Canadeo, Eugene "Kippy" Bricco, Pam (William) Quick; sister-in-law: Gloria Wollersheim; she is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Rennes Health and Rehab as well as team that served the 100 wing.

A funeral service will be held Friday January 30, 2026, at 12:00 pm at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 140 S Green Bay Rd, Neenah, WI 54956. A visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the time of service.
