Nancy J. Calvanese (nee Mercaldo), age 85, on November 15, 2025 of Mt. Airy. Wife of the late Robert A. Calvanese, to whom she was married to for 57 years, until his death in 2015. Survived by her children, Robert E. (Mary), Rosemary F., and Kirsten McBride (Kevin), four grandchildren, Kevin, Kelly, Margie, and Nathaniel, three great grandchildren, Scarlett, Joseph and Rosie, and her three sisters, Claire, Lila and Donna.
Nothing meant more to Nancy than spending time with her family. She enjoyed traveling on vacation with them. Becoming Nana was a big highlight in her life. She had a great love of Art. Nancy took Art classes where she learned the technique of using watercolors and pastels. Nancy enjoyed Music, especially listening to albums of Barbara Streisand, Frank Sinatra and Diana Ross, while sipping on a cup of tea.
In lieu of flowers, please treat people with kindness and respect.
A viewing will be held Monday, November 24th, 10:00AM in the Chapel at Ivy Hill Cemetery, 1201 Easton Rd., Philadelphia, PA 19150. Funeral Service will be at 11:00AM. Interment following in Ivy Hill Cemetery.
