It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nancy Anne Connell, who left us on August 5, 2025.
Born on September 7, 1970, in Garden City, NY, Nancy lived a life filled with strength and dedication. Most recently, she served as a corrections officer at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility, where her commitment to her work was admired by many.
Nancy is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Sarah and husband Daniel Sopko, and her precious grandchildren-M'Kenna, Mekhi, and Amaura Sopko. She is also survived by her brother, Brian Connell and wife Linda, along with her nephew and niece, Billy and Brianna Connell, who will forever cherish the memories they shared with her. Also surviving are numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins too numerous to mention.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Agnes Connell; and beloved son, Brendon Gacek.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Graziano Funeral Home Inc., 700 South Twp., Blvd., Pittston Twp., Pa 18640.
To honor Nancy's life, a public viewing will be held on Friday, August 8, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
All funeral services will be held privately at the family's convenience.
Nancy's family asks that you come and share stories, laughter, and love, as we remember the wonderful impact she had on all our lives. She will be deeply missed but forever in our hearts.
