NANCY COOK REDDEN
COX FUNERAL HOME
BASTROP, LOUISIANA
Nancy Lillian Cook Redden was born in Silsbee, Texas in February 12, 1957. She passed away unexpectedly on August 4, 2025 at Morehouse General Hospital in Bastrop, Louisiana. Nancy was a retired escrow officer and a proud, lifelong resident of Texas until recently moving to Louisiana to be closer to family.
Nancy loved her family and was a faithful daughter, sister, and aunt. She was a caring friend, whether she knew you her whole life or just met you. She especially enjoyed the simple interactions with those she met along her way. She never met a stranger!
Since retiring, Nancy loved her camping adventures and traveling across the country.
Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, John French Cook and Ruby Marie Cook Williams. She is survived by her step-mother, Belle Cook; her sister, Patricia (Tom) Bombolis, sister, Effie (Tom) Hatch, and brother, Rufus (Melinda) Cook; her step-siblings, Cindy (Lane) Henderson, Kevin (Alicia) Holland, and Roger (Pam) Holland; three nephews, four nieces, and eight great-nieces and nephews.
A gathering to celebrate Nancy's life and support one another, share memories, and pay respects will be held at the Friendship Baptist Church Fellowship Hall in Silsbee, Texas beginning at 1:00 PM on Saturday, September 20 2025. A private burial will be held at Knupple Cemetery in Silsbee.
The family suggest donations to a charity of the donor's choice be made in honor of Nancy.
