Hilton Head Island, South Carolina - Nancy (Harris) Cope, age 79, passed away on February 22, 2026 on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, Nancy lived in Wilmington, DE; Elkton, MD; and Stone Harbor, NJ, before settling on Hilton Head Island. She attended Western Maryland College.

Nancy was a dedicated wife, mother and homemaker. She was employed as a medical transcriptionist. As an artist, she found great joy in painting, crafts, gardening, cooking, and music. Her passion for history led her to become a volunteer docent at the Stone Harbor Archival Museum, where she later served as a board member and President. She was also an active member and membership chairperson for the Stone Harbor Garden Club.

In later years, as a member of the Sea Pines Country Club, she became an avid Mah Jongg player. Beyond enjoying the game herself, she organized the Wednesday Afternoon Games for the benefit of all members who shared her love for the challenge and social aspects of the game.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Thomas; her children, David and Joanna Keim (Todd); and her grandchildren, Bradley Goss and James Goss. She was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Wilma, and her brother, Donald Harris.

The family will hold a private service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making a memorial donation to St. Andrew by the Sea UMC, mission projects or the Friends of Caroline Hospice. www.Keithfuneral.com.
