Nancy L. Craig, 85, a longtime resident of Wilmington, passed away peacefully at her home with her daughters by her side on Sunday, December 4, 2022.

Born in Altoona, PA, she was a daughter of Joseph and Anna Tamp and was a graduate of Altoona High School. With her late husband, she moved to Wilmington in 1960. After her daughters were school age, Nancy went to work as a cashier and an office manager for Penn Fruit, Shop & Bag, and most recently retired from Pickwell Foods.

Nancy is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Kelley C. and Larry W. Welch and Luann C. and Marty A. Laurits; 4 grandchildren: Michael Welch, and his wife Marguerite, and Matthew Welch, Katie Hinkle, and Hannah Laurits; and 2 great-grandchildren: Violet and Carter Welch. Nancy was preceded in death in 2010 by her husband of 53 years, Robert E. Craig; and her 3 siblings, Joann Bohner, Donna Carmichael, and Joseph "Jay" Tamp.

We are at peace knowing our Mother and Meme is reunited with loved ones and her four-legged companion, Henry, who died just 2 days before Nancy. We would like to express our thanks and gratitude to Delaware Hospice for providing comfort and support to our Mom and our family during the last months of her life.

A visitation will be held starting at 11am, followed by a service at 12noon, Saturday, December 17 at the McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3924 Concord Pike, Wilmington. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be sent to Easter Seals Delaware & Maryland's Eastern Shore, 61 Corporate Circle, New Castle, DE19720, attn. Development.
