William R. Wilson, age 63, of Wilmington, DE, passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at Christiana Hospital.
Born and raised in Wilmington, Billy graduated from Wilmington High School and later attended All-State Career School. He was a longtime member of St. David's Episcopal Church.
A devoted fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies, Flyers, and professional wrestling, Billy also had a deep love for animals.
He was predeceased by his beloved son, William R. Wilson, Jr.; his parents, Robert Wilson and Viola Kohler Wilson; and his niece, Christine Tilley.
Billy is survived by his wife of 36 years, Lori Wilson (Frazer); two sons, Robert W. Wilson and Tyler M. Wilson; three brothers, Robert Wilson, Jr., Timothy Wilson, and Richard Wilson; his two sisters, Viola Wilson Ashton and Mary Wilson; as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. David's Episcopal Church, 2320 Grubb Road, Wilmington, DE 19810. Family and friends may call from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. Burial will follow in the church's Memorial Garden.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Billy's memory may be made to the Brandywine Valley SPCA, 290 Churchmans Road, New Castle, DE 19720.

I fondly remember those good ol'days back wen on Lincoln Street; simpler times moments n memories wen family was family n everyone knew everyone n looked-out for one another young n care-free...
those were the day's; n than life happens... people grow-up n move-on we carry with us through the year's those shared moments n memories they keep us young at heart n put a smile on our face in remembrance of those who touched our lives; good people r hard to come by these day's though u can't say that of/ about Billy n the Wilson family...
Billy may u b with those who have gone b4 u in the arm's of the angel's n in God's amazing grace n thank-u for the moments n memories of yesteryear cherished ~ Amen
