Nancy Brawn Davies
8/25/1935 - 4/27/2023
Bangor-On April 27th our beloved mother graduated to her heavenly home. She was predeceased by her husband Herbert W. Davies and her daughter Vanessa Lee Davies. She is survived by her children Lewis Stearns, Cynthia Howard, Michael Stearns, Daniel Davies, and Melanie Hurlburt. She is also survived by her sisters Jane Seekins, Carol Ballard, and Lorraine Sundt, as well as many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Anyone who knew her was always greeted with one of her infamous hugs. She was known for her love of Red Rose tea and home baked goodies, friend, or foe you wouldn't go hungry. Summer wasn't complete without several trips to Schoodic and Fort Knox.
Her greatest joys were her family and Jesus. She also enjoyed playing the piano, sewing, knitting, crocheting, and helping those in need. Her favorite charity was House in the Woods in Lee Maine where she donated countless quilts and afghans for the veterans.
A celebration of life will be held in her honor on July 8th, 2023, at Pleasant Hill Campground. Arrangements are under the care of Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home and Cremation Services Bucksport. (mitchelltweedie-young.com)

December 21, 2023

I am so sorry to learn of the passing of my old childhood friend, Nancy. We met on Toddy Pond when she was 13 and I was 14. Her siblings Jane, Carol, Lorraine and Marvin along with my brother David and me had wonderful times swimming, exploring the area and rowing around together in an old boat. So many fun memories of my summer pal. RIP dear Nancy. Condolences to her family with love, Jacky King Stearns
