Nancy Marie Deese, a beloved wife, caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away at home in Olalla, Washington, on September 14, 2025. Born on May 22, 1940, in Winchendon, Massachusetts, to Edward and Margaret Richards; she graduated from Murdock High School in Winchendon, where she was a majorette. Nancy worked as a secretary for many years. She was an excellent typist who could type over 100 words a minute! After she graduated, Nancy met Wade Deese who was working as a gate guard at Fort Devens, Massachusetts. He became the love of the her life, and they were married on February 1, 1963, in Jacksonville, Florida, where they made their first home. They soon had two daughters, Jamie and Pamela. They then moved to Olalla, Washington, where their son Wayde was born. They have resided in their Olalla home for the last 49 years.

Nancy loved and accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior, who died for her, forgiving her and offering her eternal life as a free gift of grace. Nancy had a deep faith and trust in the Lord’s faithfulness through all life’s circumstances. Nancy loved reading her Bible. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles and watching old movies with her husband Wade. She was known for her delicious No Bake cookies, always ready in the fridge! Nancy cherished spending time with her dear husband, her children, 33 grandchildren and 50 great-grandchildren. Nancy and Wade enjoyed traveling in their RV, visiting their family all over the country. They were snowbirds who frequented their lovely home in Casa Grande, Arizona. Survivors include her loving husband of 62 years, Wade Deese, children Jamie Myers (Dennis), Pamela Brown (Travis), Carrie Mead (Paul), Scott Deese (Michelle), and Wayde Deese (Christy). Along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Nancy’s warm smile touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be greatly missed.
