Her career spanned five decades.
Nancy will be much loved and remembered for her wit, kindness, love of children, and love of God. Our memories of her take us back to Lemon Meringue Pie, Jello Salads, Her Big Hugs, and Her Blankets. She must have crafted about 200 or more fleece blankets for family members and for raffle items for the Friends of Pomham Rocks Lighthouse.
She is survived by her son, Donald Jeffrey Doucette, and her daughter, Amy Christine Doucette. Two grandsons, Connor Barlow and Cayden Barlow. Her Sister, Laurie (John) Bisio, of North Carolina, and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her late husband, Donald Michel Doucette, her brother, Ernest E. LeGrand, her parents, Alice and Mac Perrault, and her grandparents, Gerda E. and Ernest G. Hagberg.
She was right in the thick of things with Don in all his endeavors as Founding Chairperson of ALF's Friends of Pomham Rocks Lighthouse, and the Ten Mile River Watershed Alliance now known as The Friends of the Ten Mile River Watershed. Nancy also toured with Don to every town and city in the state of Massachusetts and documented with pictures of each City and Town Hall. They also traveled quite frequently.
