Mrs. Nancy Delores Brady Dozier, 71, of Box Springs, passed away on Monday, October 23, 2023 at Columbus Hospice House. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 26, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Oakland Church of God with Rev. Josh Carter officiating. The family will greet friends at Way-Watson Funeral Home in Buena Vista on Wednesday evening from 6:00 -8:00 PM. Pallbearers will be Jacob Watson, Brady Dozier, Bobby Gray, Jr., Bobby Gray, Sr., Troy Watson and David Brady.
Mrs. Dozier was born July 21, 1952 in Macon, GA to Raymond and Geneva Finley Brady. She was a member of Oakland Church of God. Mrs. Dozier, lovingly known as “Nanny,” loved her church and spending time with her family. She loved cooking for her family and friends during the holiday season. Mrs. Dozier began her teaching career later in life, but enjoyed it thoroughly. She was a passionate University of Georgia Bulldog fan and would always wear her lucky shirt on game day. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandmother, “Granny Bessie.”
Survivors include her husband, Charles Dozier, Sr. of Box Springs; two sons, Charles “Bo” Dozier, Jr and his wife, Donna of Buena Vista and John David Dozier and his wife, Mandy of Shellman, GA; a daughter, Adelia Watson and her husband, Troy of Buena Vista; siblings, Roger Brady, Patricia Page, Tina Gray, Lee Brady, David Brady, and Rena Harralson; eight grandchildren, Codi Dozier, Lindsey Douglas, Tyah Chapman, Taylynn Halstead, Jacob Watson, Jacey Dozier, Brady Dozier, and Levi Dozier.
Way-Watson Funeral Home of Buena Vista, GA is in charge of these arrangements.
