She is preceded in death by her father, Fred Sheppard; mother, Mary Leach; sisters, Mary Sheppard, Jamie Duncan, and Elizabeth Clark; brothers, GW Sheppard, and JW Leach.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Frank Duncan; daughters, Wanda Lynette Gilley, and Heather Michelle Piper; sons, Jeffery Shane Jenkins, William Earl Jenkins, and James Cephus Jenkins; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Nancy graduated from Etowah High School. She worked as a CNA in Attalla Nursing Home and Altoona Nursing home. Nancy loved flowers, quilting, and word searches.
