Nancy Judith Ellison (Starr) "Judy", 88, of Lore City, passed away Saturday (May 25th, 2024) at the Country View Assisted Living. Judy was born on February 28th, 1936, in Quaker City to the late Marvin D. and Beula J. (McVicker) Starr.
Judy is preceded in death by her late husband Charles David (Dave) Ellison whom she married on March 16th, 1957. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Edwin (Whitey) Starr and Roger Starr.
Judy was a graduate of Quaker City High School where she was a cheerleader. She retired from N.C.R. after working for over 30 years. Judy enjoyed spending time with her friends and family and attending her grandchildren's sporting events. She also loved trips to the casino and playing bingo.
Judy is survived by two brothers, Herbert (Herby) Starr and Richard Starr. She has 3 children: Rick (Sandy) Ellison of Lore City, Debbie (Kevin) Alt of Salesville, and Tim (Kathy) Ellison of Lore City. Judy has 7 grandchildren Amber (Mandy) Ellison, Lexi (Drew) Greenwood, Erin Zeleznik, Jamie (Josh) Oakley, Becca (Kyle) Bates, Traci (Trever) McQuain, and Nate (Brittany) Ellison. She has 11 great grandchildren Ellie, Mollie, and Josie Greenwood, Jonathan and Jaycie Oakley, Dylan, Hayden and Haylee Bates, Sammie McQuain, Easton and Reese Ellison.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday (May 28, 2024) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Senecaville, with services to follow with Pastor Devani Roe officiating. Family graveside services and burial will be held Wednesday at Guernsey County Memory Gardens.
As an expression of sympathy, the family suggests that memorial contributions in Judy's name be made to the Hospice of Guernsey, 9711E Pike Road, Cambridge OH 43725 and/or Country View Assisted Living, 62825 County Home Road, Lore City OH 43755.
