Nancy Fenner Obituary
Obituary published on Legacy.com by Valley Funeral Home - Appleton on Nov. 27, 2024.
It is with great sorrow that we share the passing of our mother, grandmother, and true friend Nancy E Fenner, age 83, who was called to Heaven on November 24, 2024. She was born April 14, 1941, to the late Gottlieb and Ruth Wichmann. Nancy attended Appleton Area schools when she was growing up.
On November 27, 1965, she married the love of her life, Earl E Fenner. Nancy and Earl were blessed with three children: Laurie Fenner, Lonnie (Chris) Fenner, and Pam (Kevin) Ronski who loved her and appreciated the special things she did for everyone. She loved being a homemaker, caring for her family and friends most of her life. Nancy also worked as a clerk and waitress at times once her children were older.
She enjoyed nothing more than time spent with her grandchildren: Jordan (Mikayla) Fenner, Zachary (Fiancé, Brittany) Fenner and Madelyn Hanagan. When the grandchildren were younger, they enjoyed going treasure hunting with grandma at rummage sales, going to the zoo/parks, and McDonalds when out riding around. Now that they have grown up, they enjoyed visiting with her to share their experiences, listening to music on her Alexa and helping her with puzzles.
Nancy also enjoyed many trips to visit family and friends. She enjoyed traveling to Escanaba, Arizona, Niagara Falls, and various casinos with Earl.
One of Nancy's greatest pleasures was calling her family and friends frequently to let them know how much she cared and see how everyone was doing. Another very important part of Nancy's world was sending birthday and Christmas cards to many family members and friends she loved. These cards will be greatly missed.
She enjoyed doing puzzles and spent many hours working with her children to get them finished.
Nancy will be missed by all family members mentioned above, in addition to her sister Jeanette (Chuck) Elquist, brother-in-law, Bill (Dianne) Fenner, sister-in-law Helen Paltzer, brother-in-law, Jerry Wilhelme, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Janice (Dick) Helien, Linda (Larry) Malloy, Barbara (John) Van Veghel, Margie (Harvey) Buchanan, Kathy (John) Stiner and brother, Allen (Dawn) Wichman. Also preceded in death by Earl's parents, Carl & Viola Fenner, sisters, Carol (John) Franken, Evie Wilhelme, Janet (Tom) Towns and brother-in-law, Jim Paltzer.
Mom – we miss you already but know how much you wanted to be with dad on your 59th wedding anniversary. All our Love; your children and grandchildren.
Thank you so much to the staff at CopperStone Assisted Living and Moments Hospice for the care and respect given to Nancy in her final days.
