Nancy Jean Fitzsimonds, 92 of New Gretna, NJ passed away peacefully with her daughters by her side on Sunday September 21, 2025. Born in Burlington, VT she lived in Paterson, NJ before moving to New Gretna in 1972. Nancy worked in the wardrobe department at Harrah’s Casino in Atlantic City. She enjoyed Broadway shows, listening to music and watching court shows on tv.
Nancy was predeceased by her son Michael Fitzsimonds, daughter Jamie Fitzsimonds, brother Ronald Tousley and sister Maureen Brown.
She is survived by her loving children, sons Shawn A. Fitzsimonds (Jean Ann) of Oak Island, NC and Mark A. Fitzsimonds of Lansdale, PA, daughters Kathy M. Swanson (Richard) of West Milford, NJ and Colleen E. McGettigan (James) of New Gretna, sisters Judy Rosenak and Patricia DellaPesca, grandchildren Richard Swanson (Stefanie Skinner), Tracy Niznik (Frank), Melanie Santalla (David), Michael Swanson (Keisha), Shannon Nixon (Rob), Shawn Patrick Fitzsimonds (Casey), Casey Schrotenboer (Zach), Liam McGettigan and Fiona McGettigan, great grandchildren Richard A. Swanson, Marnie Swanson, Tae Swanson, Kristina Swanson, Gavin Pagano (Destinee), Maya Pagano, Gia Santalla, Lea Niznik, Ella Niznik and Luke Niznik, and 5 great great grandchildren Anthony, Elijah and Finley Pagano and Bobby and Brooke Nixon as well as several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday September 27, 2025 from 12pm until the Memorial Service at 2:00pm at Maxwell Funeral Home 160 Mathistown Road Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087.
