Nancy J. Foraker

Nancy J. (Sobolak) Foraker, age 61, of New Castle, DE, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Monday, February 24, 2025.
Born in Elizabeth, NJ, on April 29, 1963, she was a daughter of the late John and Margaret (Favire) Sobolak. Nancy worked for the Colonial School District, where she dedicated 15 years.
In her spare time, Nancy loved fishing and relaxing on the beach. She also enjoyed trying her luck at the casinos.
In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her first husband, Willard F. Carter; husband, Daniel L. Foraker; siblings, Rose Sobolak, Jimmy Sobolak, and Kathleen Sobolak; and brother-in-law, John Welsh. She is survived by her children, Michael B. Carter (Terra) and Margaret A. Carter; siblings, John Sobolak (Brenda) and Diana Welsh; sister-in-law, Cynthia Sobolak; and grandchildren, Haileigh, Ava, Aiden, Lyam, and Ella.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 9:30 am until 10:30 am on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a memorial service will begin at 10:30 am. Inurnment will be held privately.
