Nancy was my best friend from grade school through our early 20´s. She was sweet, kind, the smartest person I knew, giver of great advice, my partner in fun, and beautiful inside and out. We spent so much time together going to ball games, dances, playing games, and having wonderful slumber parties. We spent time giggling together about which boys we liked and wanted to date. When Nancy met Charlie that was it for her! She had found her person and the love of her life. I was so happy for them. I was blessed to be maid of honor at their lovely wedding. We stayed close for a while after the wedding. I was the second person to know she was going to be a. Momma (right after Charlie). But as too often happens when two people are on different paths we grew apart in distance if not in heart. Flash forward 50 years, and Nancy and I reconnected at our high school reunion. We found our hearts were still connected. My `old´ friend became my `new´ friend! We recently had dinner where she proudly told me about her wonderful family and her beloved Charlie! I was so happy to have her back in my life. Her warmth and sweet disposition had only increased over the years. I will miss her so much. Love and prayers to her sweet family. Charlie, you were everything to her. May God comfort you and bring you peace beyond understanding and flood you with precious memories.
