Nancy Freytes

Nancy Freytes, 68, of Bethlehem, passed away on November 16, 2023. She was born February 11, 1955, in Manhattan, NY, daughter of the late Raymond and Carmen Mercado. Nancy is the devoted wife of 44 years to her husband, Manuel Freytes. Together they built a beautiful life together filled with love.
Nancy will be remembered for her kindness to everyone she met, her selflessness, and most especially her love for her family. She enjoyed Latin music, going for walks, and playing racquetball.
Nancy had a passion for caring for children. She loved making them happy and enjoyed her time working at a day care. Prior to this, she worked in the human resource department for Merrill Lynch.
Nancy dedicated her life to her family, and she will be dearly missed by her husband, Manuel; children, Sean and Nancy's daughter-in-law, Vanessa, Manny Jr., and Lisa; her twin sister, Elsie, and brother, Raymond, Jr.; step-daughter, Lisa and step-son, Manuel, Jr. She had a special place in her heart as a proud grandmother to Vida, Natalia, Valentina, David, Demi and Desiree. Nancy was preceded in death by her brother, Gilbert.
A visitation will be held on Monday, November 27, 2023, from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018.
