Nancy Maureen Gherardi
Age 91, of New Lenox, IL passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 1, 2024. Born in Chicago’s Pullman neighborhood to the late Vincent and Mary (nee Dolif) Gherardi, Nancy grew upon the Southside of Chicago, graduating from Pullman Elementary School and St. Louis Academy. Dear sister of Elaine (the late Ronald) Bonfiglio; loving aunt of Ron (Brenda), Paul (Gina), and Donald (Jill); cherished great aunt of Ryan, Mariah, Francesca, Vincent, Mia, and Nicholas; dear friend of Lois Bonfiglio. Nancy worked as a Dental Assistant and later was employed at Coca-Cola Company in Alsip, IL. Her talents included painting, with many of her watercolor paintings on display at various venues. She enjoyed playing the piano, and also spent many years volunteering at the Alsip Library. The family will receive friends at St. Jude Catholic Church 241 W. Second Ave, New Lenox, IL from 10:00 am until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Alsip, IL.
