Nancy Gongola Obituary
In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her husband Victor "Quack" Gongola; sisters Donna Gulajski, Nelda Ice, and Bertha West; brothers Gene, Wesley, James "Pete," and John West; and numerous Gongola brothers-in-law.
Nancy is survived by her children Vicky Nelson (Roger) of Ocala, FL; Victor Gongola of Fayetteville, GA; and William "Bill" Gongola (Anita) of Pickerington, OH; brothers Howard (Sandy) of Idaho and Paul (Cora) West of Bridgeport, OH; sisters-in-law Sandy West of Wheeling, WV, and Pam Gongola of McMechen, WV. She also leaves behind her grandchildren Sean Nelson, Zachary Gongola, Marie Gongola, Wesley Gongola, and great-grandchild Ella Whitby along with numerous nieces and nephews, a special one being Donna Lou Roth of Nebraska, who was a flower girl at her wedding.
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, December 10 from 6:00pm until 8:00 pm at Altmeyer Funeral Homes Benwood-McMechen Chapel, 214 Marshall St. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 11, at 10:30 am at St. James Catholic Church in McMechen. Procession to Mt. Calvary Cemetery for a Committal Service in the Bishop's Chapel will directly follow. Nancy will be laid to rest next to her husband Victor Gongola.
