Nancy Carroll Hart, 93, of LaGrange died Sunday morning December 31, 2023 at her home.
Mrs. Hart, born October 23, 1930, in Troup County, was the daughter of the late Sallie Cofield Carroll and Herman Burson Carroll and wife of the late Emmett D. Hart of LaGrange. She survived her sister Dorothy Carroll Mitchell of LaGrange, GA and her brothers Herman (Sonny) Carroll of Bossier City, LA and Lee (Strom) Carroll of Gainesville, GA. Having lived in LaGrange all her life, she was a member of the First Baptist Church on the Square and a Bridge Grand Master.
Survivors include two daughters, Sherry Hart and Sue Ekkebus (Ed) and a son, David Hart (Julie), and six grandchildren, Rebecca Hart, Emmett David (Trey) Hart III, Jonathan Hart, Grant Cagle, Anna Ekkebus Turner and Todd Ekkebus; and ten great grandchildren, Emmett Hart IV, Stella Hart. Evan Hart and Cora Hart; Laurel Rheinheimer; Makenna Cagle and Trent Cagle; Ava Grace Turner, Eric Turner, and Amy Turner. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Clinton Kyle Cagle.
There will be mausoleum burial service for family only at Shadowlawn Cemetery at 1 P.M. Tuesday January 2, 2024.
Following the burial service, the family will visit with friends at Higgins Funeral Home at 2 P.M. Funeral services will be held in the Higgins Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at 3 P.M.
The family respectfully requests that all flowers be omitted and those desiring contribute to West Georgia Hospice, 1510 Vernon Road, LaGrange, GA 30240 or to an organization of your choice in memory of Mrs. Hart.
