Nancy was born on May 30, 1938, in Era, TX to Loy and Margie Patterson. She was married to her husband James Hayes for 57 years until his passing in 2015. Nancy was a secretary for Equitable Life in Dallas for over 20 years. She loved to go bird watching and loved flowers. Upon retirement she enjoyed traveling all over the world, going to places like Europe, Alaska and South America.
She is survived by her brother Kenneth Patterson of Gainesville; sister-in-law Donna Patterson; nephew T.L. Patteson; niece Tonie Moye; great-niece Erica; stepdaughter Enaune Cryer and husband Richard; step-grandchildren Misty, Jimmy, Melissa, Jared and Jessica; many step-great grandchildren.
Nancy is preceded in death by husband James "Jim" Hayes; parents Loy and Margie Patterson; brothers Larry and Loy Lee Patterson.
