Nancy Alcorn Humphrey
March 4, 1934 - December 7, 2025
Nancy Alcorn Humphrey, 91, of Tallahassee, Florida, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2025. Born in Cookeville, Tennessee to Robert H. "Pop" Alcorn and Audrey Tiller Alcorn, Nancy was a graduate of Chattahoochee High School and resided in Chattahoochee for many years as both a youngster and adult. She lived a life marked by deep faith, devoted love, and vibrant spirit.
A faithful follower of Christ, Nancy's faith guided her through all seasons of life. She was a devoted military wife, standing steadfast beside her beloved husband, Colonel Richard A. "Dick" Humphrey, through the demands and adventures of military service. Their love story spanned 33 beautiful years of marriage until his passing in May 1993. Dick was the love of her life, and their partnership exemplified commitment, devotion, and enduring love.
Nancy was a loving mother to seven children, and her gregarious nature brought warmth and joy to all who knew her. She had a passion for FSU football and could often be found cheering enthusiastically for the Seminoles. Her vibrant personality, generous heart, and unwavering faith touched countless lives.
She is survived by her siblings: Robert Alcorn (Faye), Charlotte Stephens, John Alcorn (Wanda), and Debra Fowle (Buddy); her children: Bob Humphrey (Terry), David Humphrey (Stacey), Ricky Humphrey, Andria Thames (Cliff), Amy Macdonald (Tom), Jim Humphrey (Brooke), and Ryan Humphrey (Jenny); as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who will cherish her memory.
Graveside services will be held at Mount Pleasant Cemetery on Friday, December 12, 2025 beginning at 11:00 AM Eastern Time / 10:00 AM Central Time.
Nancy's legacy of faith, family, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
