Nancy Hurley Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services - Easton on Mar. 3, 2026.
Nancy Edith (Watts) Hurley, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2026, in her North Fort Myers, Florida home. She was 92 years old.

Nancy was born on October 6, 1933, in Brockton, Massachusetts, to Edgar and Bernice (Everett) Watts and was a life-long resident of Easton. She grew up with her four brothers and graduated from Oliver Ames High School in 1951. Her early years laid the foundation for a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.

In her lifetime, Nancy shared an extraordinary bond with Lawrence, her husband of 70 years. Together they built a beautiful family and created countless memories that will be treasured forever. Nancy was the proud mother of six children: Steve, Larry Jr., Kathy, Ellen, Linda, and Paul. Though she experienced the profound loss of her daughters Kathy and Linda earlier in life, Nancy's strength and love for her family remained steadfast.

Nancy's joy extended to her role as a grandmother. She adored spending time with her 13 grandchildren and was always available to babysit when she was needed. Her warmth and kindness left an indelible mark on their lives.

Nancy is survived by her brother Bob Watts of Media, Pennsylvania. She was predeceased by her brothers David, Jimmy, and Allan Watts but carried their memories close to her heart throughout her life.

A woman of many interests and talents, Nancy embraced life with enthusiasm. She loved golfing and could often be found enjoying a round on the course. She had a passion for games of all kinds-whether it was cards or dominoes-and delighted in friendly competition with those around her. Reading brought her peace and joy, but perhaps nothing compared to her love for the beach. The ocean's beauty always called to Nancy; it was where she felt most at home. She especially loved her cottage at Harbor Beach in Mattapoisett, where she spent summers for most of her life.

Nancy's legacy is one of love, kindness, and joy. Her presence brightened every room she entered, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

May Nancy's memory bring comfort to those who loved her most as they celebrate a life well-lived. A Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 8, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Kane Funeral Home, 605 Washington Street (Route 138), Easton, MA.
