Nancy Hussey Obituary
Nancy's life was characterized by her dedication to family and work. She worked diligently as an inspector in both the furniture manufacturing and hosiery industries, setting a strong example of commitment and integrity.
Beyond her professional life, Nancy found great joy in spending time with her family. She was an avid attendee of kid's sporting events and family gatherings, always bringing warmth and laughter to every occasion. Dining out and playing cards, particularly Rummy, were among her favorite pastimes. While she loved watching softball, Nancy recently developed a passion for volleyball, embracing each new interest with enthusiasm.
Nancy was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years, Alfred E. Hussey, her son Jimmy Hussey, and her parents, Clarence and Marie Williams Boggan.
She leaves behind a loving family, including her children: Janie Woodard and husband Philip Morris of Liberty, Jackie Routh of Randleman, and Jason Hussey of Randleman. Her sisters, Kay Price and Beverly Boggan of Randleman, and Robin Parris of California, also mourn her passing. Nancy cherished her grandchildren: Mark Woodard of Liberty; Tina Britt and husband Jason of Asheboro; Ashley Davis and husband Chad of Randleman; Justin Woodard and wife Lindsey of Liberty; and Davis Hussey of Randleman, along with her 11 great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by many special nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to honor Nancy's memory during a visitation on Friday, November 14th, 2025, from 4:30-6:00 PM at Midstate Cremation and Funeral Service in Asheboro. A funeral service will follow at 6:00 PM in the Midstate Chapel.
Nancy's legacy of love, warmth, and passion for life will continue to inspire those who knew her. She will be fondly remembered and deeply missed. Midstate Cremation & Funeral Service in Asheboro is honored to assist the family of Ms. Nancy Boggan Hussey.
