Born July 2, 1958, Nancy Sue Johnson went home to be the with Lord on July 23, 2024. Overcoming multiple health issues as an infant, Nancy was the youngest girl of 11 children. In her younger years, Nancy enjoyed playing bingo, bowling, and spending time with her family. Through the years Nancy enjoyed showing her creative side, especially when it made other's smile and memories come alive. Many remember her lighting a room with her contagious smile and laughter. Never meeting a stranger, Nancy enjoyed giving to others and ensuring no one was left behind. Nancy dedicated over 40 years to Boeing where she met many who would quickly become close friends and family. Upon retiring, Nancy and Scott moved back to Texas to enjoy their time with family. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Scott Johnson and daughter Jennifer, siblings: Amado Castro, Jr (wife Gloria), Lucy Figueroa, Johnny Castro (wife Earlene), Olga Vidaurri (husband Tony), Dianne Castro, Larry Castro (wife Jessie), Garry Castro (wife Maria), and Aunt Thelma Perez (husband Manuel). She leaves behind many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her son Andrew Scott Johnson, parents Amado Castro, Sr. and Pauline Gamez, both maternal and paternal grandparents, many aunts and uncles, sister Sylvia Garcia (husband Ricardo Garcia Sr.), brothers Eddie Perez and Rosendo Castro.
Celebration of Life will be held at Baptist Temple in Grand Prairie, TX on Saturday, August 3, 2024 from 11 AM - 2 PM.
