Nancy Jordan, age 72, of Townsend, DE, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on Monday, September 25, 2023, ending a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Klamath Falls, Oregon on February 10, 1951, she was the daughter of Rose Marie Owings and the late Raymond Owings. As a child, Nancy grew up on a farm near Mount Rainier in Washington State. She attended Washington State University, where she met and fell in love with her husband Ronald (Ron) Jordan. She graduated in 1972 with a degree in biology, and worked for many years as a medical technologist in the field of microbiology.
Nancy was the loving wife of Ron, beloved mother of Michelle and Kimberly, and beloved grandmother of Aiden, Liliana, Dylan, Annabelle, Avelina and Avery. She was the loving sister of her siblings Jeff, Tom, and Heidi.
Nancy's favorite hobbies included reading, gardening, and spoiling her six beautiful grandchildren, making every birthday and holiday a very special and memorable occasion. She dedicated her life to loving and caring for her family. Selfless, generous and kind, she truly was an angel on Earth. She had a loving heart and touched many lives with her presence. Nancy will be truly missed.
Nancy is survived by her loving husband, Ron Jordan; daughters, Michelle Chau and Kimberly Mangubat; mother, Rose Marie Owings; siblings, Heidi Luedeman, Jeff Owings, and Tom Owings; and grandchildren, Aiden Chau, Liliana Chau, Dylan Chau, Annabelle Chau, Avelina Mangubat, and Avery Mangubat.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 275 East Main Street, Middletown, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 11 am. Interment will be held privately.
