Nancy Jane (Griffin) Josephson, 71 of Gloucester, passed away at Seacoast Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on Monday, June 23, 2025.
Born on December 10, 1953, at Cable Memorial Hospital in Ipswich Ma. To Ernest S. Griffin and Christine L. (Osier) Griffin. Nancy went through the Gloucester School System Graduating from Gloucester High School. After High School she had several jobs in restaurants around town. Her most recent job was working in the cafeteria at Gloucester Engineering until they closed their doors.
Nancy loved reading, people watching and watching her shows. She also loved to know about all the local gossip! And most importantly, she loved spending time with her family.
Nancy is survived by her 3 children. Michael D. Josephson husband of Nicole (Spoon) Josephson, Christine H. (Josephson) Roderick and Eric S. Josephson husband of Mikayla (Gentile) Josephson. Her 7 grandchildren Mikaela D. Josephson, Ian J. Josephson, Aryanna D. Roderick, Eric E. Roderick, Jase C. Josephson, Letty C. Josephson and Eiley K. Josephson. She is also survived by her forever loving son-in-law Gil W. Roderick. Her siblings Diane Lycett of Florida, Jim Griffin and his wife Barbara of Rockport, Bill Griffin and his wife Donna of Gloucester Jean Cecilio and her husband Joe of Beverly and Cathy Guertner and her husband Tom of Gloucester. Several nieces and nephews. And of course, all her granddogs!
She was predeceased by her parents, her brother Robert (Gus) Griffin and the father of her 3 children, Dana Josephson. Nancy was very kindhearted and willing to help anyone. She was always willing to feed her children's friends and even give them a place to stay if needed.
She will be missed by everyone who had the chance to get to know her.
A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, June 30, 2025, at 11a.m. at Locust Grove Cemetery, 90 Langsford Street, Gloucester. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
