Nancy A. Kanaar

Nancy Arlene Kanaar, age 66, passed away surrounded by her family in Muskegon, MI, on Thursday, August 21, 2025. She was born on October 22, 1958, in Fort Benning, GA, to George and Carol (Kassin) Lowe. In 2005 she married Kirk Kanaar, and the two of them cherished the 20 years that they spent together. Nancy enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and other forms of crafting, and she loved spending time with her family. Nancy will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Kirk Kanaar; son, Tom (Sarah) Lowe; three grandchildren: Aydin, Sierra, and Ludvik; and aunts and uncles: Darlene, Shirley, Pat, Anna, and Brian (Lori). She was preceded in death by both of her parents and her uncle, Richard Sweatland. Per Nancy's wishes no public services are taking place at this time.
