**Obituary for Nancy Jo Kannenberg**
Nancy Jo Kannenberg, born on April 8, 1965, in Crawford, Nebraska, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2025, at the age of 59 at Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, North Carolina. Her life journey was marked by love, warmth, and an unwavering commitment to family and friends.
Nancy's life was a testament to the joy found in life's simple pleasures. Throughout her years living and working in Huron, South Dakota, she nurtured those around her with grace and kindness. She found immense joy in spending time with family at gatherings-each moment cherished, each memory lovingly crafted.
Her passions were as diverse as they were heartfelt. Nancy was an avid fan of "thrifting," delighting in the discovery of hidden treasures and adding to her collection of antiques. She was a fervent supporter of family and friends in their racing endeavors, cheering them on with enthusiasm and pride.
A creative spirit, Nancy engaged in crafting with a joyful exuberance, attended concerts that lifted her soul, and relished the thrill of shopping trips with those she loved.
Preceded in death by her parents, Doris and Victor Cordell, her brother Doug Cordell, and many other cherished loved ones, Nancy's memory lives on through the lives she touched.
She is lovingly remembered by her children: Chastity (Clint) Erickson and their children, Corbin and Shila, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Zachariah (Abby) Reimer of Jacksonville, North Carolina; and Coal (Elaine) Kannenberg and their daughter, Nova, of Huron, South Dakota. Her sister, Peggy Luckett of Huron, South Dakota; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles, all carry forward her legacy of love.
Though she is no longer with us, Nancy's presence remains deeply felt. Her legacy is one of love, kindness, and an indomitable spirit that continues to inspire all who knew her.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to honor Nancy's remarkable journey-a life filled with love, joy, and precious memories that will forever enrich our hearts.
