Nancy Louise Kaplon

Nancy Louise Kaplon, 70, of New Carlisle, Indiana passed away at 4:21 p.m. Monday, December 27, 2021, in Northwest Health-LaPorte. Nancy was born on January 17, 1951 in LaPorte, Indiana to Bradley and Esther Louise (Sheneman) Nichols. She had formerly been employed with the Woodwind and the Brasswind, Potato Creek State Park, L.S. Ayres and South Bend Toy. On January 30, 1982 in the North Liberty First Brethren Church, she married Kevin E. Kaplon, who survives. Nancy is also survived by two daughters, Lynn (Jim) Fisher of Bolingbrook, Illinois and Andrea (Jeremy) Bolton of Charleston, South Carolina; one son, Brian Harris of Summerville, South Carolina; five grandchildren, Gavin, Trevor, Faith, Maddox and Eli; and her brother, Damon Nichols of Walkerton, Indiana. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; an infant daughter, Nicole Kaplon; one son, Rodney Harris; and two brothers, Ronnie and Terry Nichols. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 1, 2022 in the Ardmore Brethren Church, where a visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in New Carlisle Cemetery. Nancy was a member of the former North Liberty First Brethren Church. Nancy was quick witted, fun loving, a fan of the Indiana Hoosiers, Chicago Cubs, her dog Cubbie, and all things Disney. More than anything she loved God and her family, especially her grandchildren. She was truly one of a kind and will be greatly missed.
