Nancy R. Kaster, age 80, of Green Bay passed away unexpectedly Thursday, September 11, 2025 at St. Vincent Hospital.

Nancy was born June 19, 1945 in Green Bay, daughter of the late Edward and Dorothy (Laskowy) Crooks. She was a graduate of Green Bay West High School with the Class of 1963. She was united in marriage with Richard Kaster on September 17, 1967.

Nancy was employed with People's Bank as a teller in her early 20's. She also served in the Women's Auxiliary of the Brown County Homebuilders Association and received an award for her distinguished service. Nancy played a critical role for over 30 years in supporting Ridge Way Homes, Inc., Rick and Nancy's homebuilding business as well as assisting in the family's residential rental operation.

Throughout her life, Nancy enjoyed time spent with family, travelling, and weekends at the cottage. Nancy was a loving, supportive, giving, gentle and strong, wife and mother. However perhaps Nancy's greatest joy came in her role as Grandma and Great Grandma. She simply delighted in spending every possible moment with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition, and not to be understated, is Nancy's commitment to friendship. Nancy was gifted in making connections and many who began as business associates grew into dear friends. Time spent with friends often involved dinners, cards and conversation and always, laughter. Nancy's cooking and baking skills were often at the center of these gatherings, and you can be sure that no one would go hungry and there was always a sweet treat to enjoy when Nancy was around. Nancy was a beautiful, loving and kind wife, mother, grandma, great grandma, sister and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Nancy is survived by her husband of 58 years, Rick Kaster; children, Steve (Kerri) Kaster and Bob Kaster; grandchildren, Alex (Courtney) Kaster and Taylor (Tyler) Kaster; great grandchildren, Harrison, Laikyn and Lawsen. She is further survived by brother-in-law Jay (Kathryn) Kaster and sisters-in-law Patti Crooks, Sr. Marsaia Kaster and Nancy A. Kaster (Tom) as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Edward & Dorothy Crooks; sister Barbara (Crooks) LaMere; brother, Robert Crooks; brother-in-law Dan LaMere; and sister-in-law Nancy M. Kaster.

There will be a Celebration of Life visitation at the Lyndahl Funeral Home on Thursday, September 18, 2025 from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m.
