Sandra (Sandy) L. White, age 75, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 1, 2026. She was born on November 28, 1950, to the late Donald and Buella (Labedelle) Fischer. Sandy graduated from West High School in 1969. Since she was young, Sandy worked alongside her best friend Jean Cleary at Aldo's Pizza. It was there that she met the love of her life, Robert (Bob) J. White Jr. Sandy and Bob were married in 1972 at First Evangelical Lutheran Church, and together they raised two children, Cory and Bobbi Jo.
Sandy was well known throughout Green Bay, and everyone who knew her loved her. No matter where she and Bob went, she always seemed to run into someone she knew. Sandy had a passion for bowling and spent many years on a league with her friends. She enjoyed playing softball and snowmobiling. Sandy was most remembered for her amazing Christmas cookies. First thing any guest did was go right to the cookie jar!
In addition to working at Aldo's, Sandy expanded her service career to Sureway, Pranges, Festival Foods and finally St. Mary's Hospital. Sandy retired from St. Mary's Hospital in 2015. Although she was retired for many years, whenever she was in the hospital staff members remembered her and fondly took care of her during her illnesses.
Sandy also cared for the children of many friends over the years, forming bonds that lasted a lifetime. Sandy treated these children like the grandchildren she desired. Some even took to calling her Grandma Sandy.
In 2013, Sandy's greatest wish came true; she became a grandmother to her grandson, Morgen. Morgen was the light of her life. She taught him how to crawl, how to walk, and even potty trained him.
Sandy was strong, spirited, and full of sass in the best possible way. She had a look—that look—that told you she meant business without her saying a single word. Her strength showed up in the way she protected the people she loved, the way she handled life’s challenges, and the way she stood firm in who she was. Her sass brought laughter, honesty, and a spark that made every room brighter.
Sandy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband, Bob White Jr.; her daughter, Bobbi Jo Welty; her grandson, Morgen Welty; her brothers, Sherman & Dorothy Laundrie and Tom Fischer, her in-laws, Dick & Kris White, Pat White, Jean Walters, Mary White (Jim), Tim & Kathy White, Bill & Amy White, Debbie & Dan Cavil and Tom & Amy White, her best friend, Jean Cleary, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and wonderful friends.
She was preceded in death by her son, Cory, parents, Don & Buella Fischer, brothers, Robert Fischer and Alan Fischer, in-laws, Bob & Florence White, Elizabeth White, and Mike Walters, nieces, Theresa Orde and Julie Smet. Sandy was also preceded in death by many family members, including Carol and Roger Nuthals. Carol was like a sister to Sandy.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026, from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM at Malcore (West) Funeral Home, 1530 W. Mason St., Green Bay, WI 54303. A luncheon will follow at Rock Garden at 2:00 PM.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Grandcare Rehabilitation Center. Thank you for the exceptional care you provided Sandy and the kindness extended to Bob and Bobbi Jo. You are all angels!
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family of Sandra L. White.
