Susan M. Warner, 79, Green Bay, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Saturday, January 10, 2026, after a 6 year battle with vascular dementia. She was born in Sturgeon Bay, WI on June 12, 1946 to the late John and Leota (Perkins) Peters.
She devoted her life whether through her career or her family to caring for others, offering steady hands, a generous heart, and comfort to all who needed it.
She is survived by her children; Shelly (Keith) Gjesdahl, Green Bay; Brian (Rob) Kinjerski, Los Angeles; Dori (Vicki) Kinjerski, Freedom; Todd (Vicky) Kinjerski, Kewaunee; Sara (Dan)VandenHeuvel, Denmark; 12 Grandchildren, Sonya Gjesdahl; Natalia (Derrick Voruda) Gjesdahl; Allie Gjesdahl, Tasha (Derek Anderson) Gjesdahl, Dustin (Abby) Varick, Reese (Rachel) Varick, Carissa Varick, Cassandra (Jared Ledvina) Kinjerski, Rachel (Jason Selnar) Kinjerski, Tabetha VandenHeuvel, Alex VandenHuevel, and Anna VandenHeuvel; 8 Great Grandchildren, Birdie Rose, Ewan, Ivy, Mays, Daisy, Rhoen, Rhoric, and Rue; Her brother, John (Lowanda) Peters; Sister, Anne Pilgrim; Brothers-in-law, Alvin Hills and Dave Pederson; As well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Warner, Her parents, John and Leota Peters; Sister’s, Ingra LeGrave, Kathryn Hills, and Jeanne Pederson; Brother Bill (June) Peters; Brother-in-law, Gary Pilgrim; and her lifelong best friend Linda Marrick.
Family and friends may visit Malcore (West) Funeral Home, 1530 W. Mason St., Green Bay, on Thursday, January 15, 2026, from 3 p.m. until the hour of service at 7 p.m., with Chaplain Steve Fewell officiating.
A heartfelt thank you to the staff at Oddfellows Nursing Home for all the love and care they gave Mom over the past six years, as well as the wonderful staff at Unity Hospice.
