Nancy Marie Katzer

Nancy Marie Katzer passed away peacefully on December 1, 2024, at the age of 70. Born on February 7, 1954, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Vernon and Helen Detrick.
Nancy married the love of her life, Dale Katzer in 1983 on Peach Island in Detroit and they enjoyed many happy years of marriage together until his passing.
Nancy's professional life was distinguished by a successful career as a cartographer crafting maps at Hearns Brothers, a job she held with passion and pride.
Outside of work, Nancy's zest for life was contagious. Her favorite holiday was Halloween, and she would delight family and friends with her spooky decorations. She was happiest when she was outdoors, tending to her garden, riding four-wheelers with friends, or sitting with her husband by a warm bonfire.
Most of all the memories shared with her niece, Amy Hendry, were very important to Nancy. Their trips to the St. Clair Dairy Queen for ice cream by the St. Clair River were cherished moments between the two of them.
Nancy is lovingly remembered by the Detrick and Hope families; and the Bartlett Road Crew.
Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Grace Memorial Life Celebration Center 4521 Ravenswood Road, Kimball Twp., Michigan 48074.
