Nancy LaRue Khoury, 85, widow to the late Costi J. Khoury, passed away at her home in Bensenville, IL on July 5th, 2025.
Born September 20th, 1939 in Decatur, Illinois, to the late Teddy Roosevelt and LaRue Eleanor (nee Eagleton) Shelley, she will be missed dearly.
Nancy loved travelling the world with her family and especially her husband. "If it's Tuesday, this must be Belgium." She was an avid reader and always had a book or two nearby. Nancy never missed a game of Jeopardy as she was a master of trivia. She also liked crossword puzzles and a good game of scrabble. The world won't be the same without her; Nancy (Sito) will be dearly missed by all.
She is survived by her children: Kimberly (Gordon) Olsen, Costi (Bridget) Khoury, Julie (Lance) Hehr, and Jennifer (David) Johnson; her grandchildren: Heidi (Nicholas), Costi (Carrie), Kevin, Kyle, Christopher (Haley), Delilah, and Lucy; her great grandchildren: Tatiana, Vikira, Ryker, Hunter, Chloe, Costandi, and Colten; her brother Lynn Shelley and sister Barbara Viseur.
She is preceded in death by her siblings Ted, Mike and Billy Shelley.
Visitation will be held on Monday 7/14 from 4-8pm at Geils Funeral Home at 180 S. York Rd in Bensenville, IL with Trisagion Service from 6-6:15pm. Funeral service will be held at St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church, 1220 South 60th Ct., Cicero, IL 60804 at 10:00am on Tuesday 7/15. Entombment Mt. Emblem Cemetery, Elmhurst, IL.
