Nancy Kranick Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Boyd-Horrox-Givnish Funeral Home on Jun. 3, 2024.
Nancy Marie Kranick (nee Futroye), of Collegeville, passed away on June 1, 2024 at the age of 81. Born on September 8, 1942 in St. Albans, VT to the late Lawrence and Beatrice (nee Barker), Nancy was the beloved wife for 45 years of Cyril R. Kranick, Jr.; loving mother of Barbara Giannini nee Zimski (Luke), Cindi Cashmer nee Zimski (the late Steve), the late Diana Desantis nee Zimski (Paul Fariello), Cyril R. Kranick, III (Wendy), Michael Kranick (Celeste), Pam Phillips (Don), and the late David Kranick; cherished grandmother of David, Lucas, Jake, Sierra, Justina, Michael, Cyril, IV, Andy, William, Edward, and the late Brooke; and proud great-grandmother.
Nancy enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and her beloved cats Miley and Casey. Nancy was a pharmacy technician for 43 years at Rite Aid in Logan Square, she was also Past President of the Antique Truck Club of America. Was an avid fan of NASCAR, the Philadelphia Eagles and the sports/events that her children/grandchildren participated in.
Over the years Nancy enjoyed traveling to car and truck shows with her husband, including in 1994 riding in their antique Mack truck as it delivered the National Christmas tree from her home state of Vermont to the U.S. Capitol Building. She also enjoyed traveling with her daughters, from Vermont to see her beloved cousins to Key West, and also internationally to London and Paris. She loved music and going to concerts. Her taste was varied; Paul Anka, George Michael, and Wham and of course Get the Led Out, who she got to see at many venues including Red Rocks.
Relatives and friends are invited to Nancy's Life Celebration on Thursday, June 6, 2024 from 6 to 8 PM, and again on Friday, June 7, 2024 from 10:30 to 11:20 AM, followed by her memorial service at 11:30 AM at the Boyd-Horrox-Givnish Life Celebration Home of East Norriton, 200 W. Germantown Pike, Pa 19401.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of her daughter Diana to METAvivor would be greatly appreciated. https://donate.metavivor.org/fundraiser/3290752

Tomorrow it will be a year since the passing of my great friend. I will cherish forever the memories I hold in my heart. I huge thank you goes out to her daughter, Cindi Cashmer, for sending me all the precious memorable items that defined Nancy. The first photo I´ll share is of Saint Albans, VT. her hometown. Nancy let me live there for a while. Nancy collected Lizzie High dolls and Cindi sent me one of her collections. I think I started collecting Cat´s Meow wooden houses because I saw them at her house. Cindi sent me a Cat´s Meow wooden Country Store from her collection. Nancy was my maid of honor in my wedding and she saved a match book from my wedding. Oh! The stories I could tell of some of our adventures together. I loved her so much. Donna Klinger

I did not know Nancy personally, but I wish I had in the way Pamela Kranick talked of her she was the most amazing person on the earth . I did get to say Hello one day while her and Pam were out getting there toes done and having a lovely time. But now it is time to say good bye. As my autistic son would say, love you and never forget you

My friend Nancy, my sympathy goes out to all who knew her and loved her. I´ve loved her for 51 years. We vacationed together in Vermont, OCNJ and worked together for several years. Nancy was my maid of honor and I had the privilege of being in her wedding to Cy. Nancy was so proud of her daughters. Nancy was a true friend and I will miss our phone calls. I´ll continue to love her forever. Donna and Donald Klinger

My first memory of my Aunt Nancy-is her bouffant hairdo and cute dresses. And her laugh! Rest peacefully Aunt Nancy. Love you-Valerie
