Nancy Kruit Obituary
Nancy Jean Kruit – On Tuesday April 18, 2023 Nancy passed away at the age of 89. Nancy was born on October 8 1933 in Cleveland Ohio to Rose and Elmer Pfaffenberger. She later moved to South Gate California in 1947 and graduated from South Gate High School in 1950. She Married Hans Benetreu in 1955. Nancy then moved to Eugene OR in 1958 where she raised her family. She was predeceased by her 2 husbands, Hans Benetreu (1933-1991) and Frank Kruit (1935-2010) Her Mother, Father, Her Brother Richard (Katherine), and Son William (Bill) Benetreu (Carol). Nancy is survived by her 2 other children Richard (Rick) Benetreu (Robin), and Heidi Kruit (John), Her Grandchildren Ryan, Darcy, Brandon, Ashley, Kassie, Erin, and Tanner, her 10 great Grandchildren and her loving brother William Pfaffenberger (Bernice) and all of their familes.
Nancy was the most amazing mother, wife, sister, grandmother and GG. You could always find her in the kitchen. She loved spending time baking out of her published cook book "Nancy B's Favorites" She sold her recipe book at bazaars during the holidays; her favorite time of year because there was always a lot of baking to be done. She loved involving her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren in the kitchen whenever she got the chance.
Nancy was a wonderful woman and you were lucky to call her a friend. She knew how to light up a room with her smile and make everyone feel welcome and loved. She loved to host gatherings, her favorite being the Row River camp out every summer. Nancy will be missed and remembered by all her family and friends.
There will be an intimate celebration of life at Abby's Pizza on River Rd. Saturday April 29 at 12:00 for those that would like to attend.
