Nancy Carolyn Laatz (Swope), 94, of Carmel, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on July 2nd, 2025. She was born in Oscar, KY in 1931 to Eugene and Elfie Swope.
Nancy loved to sew and decorate, making a home wherever she went. For several years, she enjoyed performing with Prime Life Follies. She learned watercolor painting in her 70’s, specializing in pet portraiture.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and her husbands, Arlie E. Hill and Arthur Laatz. She is survived by her daughters, Arline Hill and Nan Hill Gerson; grandchildren Justyn Denney-Boraston, Galen Denney, Jake Calvert, and Anna-Kate Bennington; 5 great-grandchildren; and her four-legged companion Memphis.
