Nancy Lee Lackey was welcomed into the arms of her Lord and reunited with many loved ones at the gates of heaven on September 17, 2025, days shy of her 86th birthday. Born September 20, 1939, in Red Wing, Minnesota, her journey ultimately took her cross country to Los Angeles, California, where she met and married the love of her life. In their 55 years of marriage, they moved multiple times, and eventually settled in Colorado Springs. Together they created a beautiful life, filled with an immense amount of love, laughter, and memories that will live on for an eternity.

Nancy had the biggest, most loving heart, a smile that would light up any room, and could make you laugh in an instant with her silly sense of humor. She loved meeting new people and never met a stranger. Her greatest joy, however, came from being surrounded by her loving family. She battled cancer with amazing courage, and staved off many illnesses that would have been the demise of most, all because she wasn't ready to leave her family. She was incredibly strong!

She is preceded in death by her mother, father, brother, and sister, in addition to the unimaginable loss of her daughter at the young age of 39. She has now been reunited with them all!

Nancy is survived by her loving husband, Gerald "Jerry" Lackey, son Vince (wife Tanya), daughter Beth (husband Patrick), son-in-law Jamie (married to deceased daughter, Michelle), as well as grandsons Connor, Cory, Dalton, Wyatt, Caden, and Caleb, and great granddaughters Paisley and Payzlee.

Nancy will be honored and remembered on September 30, 2025 at 12:00pm at The Springs Funeral Services, 3115 East Platte Avenue, Colorado Springs, CO 80909. Reception to follow at the same location.
