Nancy Lipscomb Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bedford Funeral Home - Boston Globe on Dec. 5, 2025.
Sometimes life seems hard to bear full of troubles, sorrows, and woes, it's then I have to remember, it's in the valleys we grow. On the evening of December 2, 2025, God sent one of his heavenly angels to hand deliver the beloved blessed soul of Nancy Carol Foxx Lipscomb. The angel delivered her into God's precious arms, so that she could be free of pain.

Nancy was born on February 14, 1946 in Bedford, VA to the late Emma Mae Lee Foxx. In addition, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Lipscomb, Sr.; daughter, Teresa Foxx; son, Tyrone Lipscomb; brother, Milton Foxx, Sr; and her stepson, Sidney Craghead.

Nancy was educated at Bedford County Schools, where she attended Susie G. Gibson High School. Nancy was very gifted with her hands. She was employed at Moneta Dress Factory, Singer Furniture, and later retired from Sam Moore Furniture. Nancy had a love for others and children. She would assist others in any way she could. Being around family and sitting under the tree was her favorite pastimes.

The loving memories of Nancy will forever be cherished by her children, Edgar "Eugene" Foxx (Contina), Thomas Lipscomb, Jr. (Brandi) and Marionette Lipscomb (Jason); brother, Wiley Foxx, Sr.; grandchildren: Erika, Eugenia, Durrell, Demetrious, Thomasena, Cadeshia, Jarmeris, Jason, Ashanti, Talika, Marquis, Eunicqua, Maurice, Equanna, Jasmine, Shavon, Dontay, Nathan, Laquasha and Shaneisha; a special devoted grandson, Janauge Evans; sisters-in-law, Marion Craghead, Annie Mae Craghead and Marionette Murphy; a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous friends who loved her dearly.
