Nancy Ann MacGilvray

Nancy Ann MacGilvray, 68, passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2024.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday October 16th at 11 AM at St. Peter Catholic Church. The family will receive friends on Tuesday October 15th from 4 to 6 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home.
Nancy grew up in Appleton, WI and graduated from the University of Wisconsin at Oshkosh. After moving to Chicago, she met and married the love of her life, Scott MacGilvray and they began their family. Nancy was a devoted mother and put her career on hold to focus on her children and home. After a brief stint in Springfield, IL, the family moved to Greenville in 2004. In Greenville, she was active in the Service League of Greenville and enjoyed working with the Ronald McDonald House as a House Manager.
Nancy loved to travel. She took many adventures all over the world with Scott and her children. Wherever she went, she always found the time to send postcards to friends and family. She also loved to read, particularly historical fiction, and enjoyed participating in a book club with friends. Nancy enjoyed a good meal and a fine wine, almost as much as sharing a sandwich on the beach with her family. She adored her grandchildren and they brought so much joy to her life.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Delmar and Imogene Hoeffner.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Scott MacGilvray; sons, Steven MacGilvray, Michael MacGilvray and wife, Katie; daughter, Colleen MacGilvray; grandchildren, Emma (4) and James (2) MacGilvray; siblings, Mark Hoeffner and wife, Rosie, Jim Hoeffner and wife, Sue, David Hoeffner and wife, Becky, and Ruth Marquardt and husband, Tom; special friends and travel companions, Christine and Paul Schwager; and a number of nieces and nephews.
