Nancy J. Manera Hagele

Nancy Baker Mikolajczyk Manera Hagele was born September 27, 1952 in Toledo Hospital in Toledo, Ohio to Margie Lou Wisner. She was preceded in death by her mother and 4 siblings. She is survived by her husband Jeff Hagele of Sylvania, Ohio and her daughters Carrie (and Kevin) Smith of Berkey, Ohio and Kelly and (Paul) Brady of Sylvania, Ohio. She is also survived by her grandchildren Stephanie and Anthony Russell and Mia Brady as well as five of her siblings.

Nancy has lived a life actively volunteering with the gift of service that God gave her. She has shared her light and faith through service in organizations such as the Make- A - Wish Foundation and United Way of Greater Toledo.

Nancy's heart, however, has been dedicated to the Sylvania Moose Lodge where she has been a member since 1999 and served in many capacities such as a chairman of the Women of the Moose where her efforts supported the orphanage of Moose Heart and private retirement community of Moose Haven. She also served as Chaplin of the Sylvania Moose Riders Organization 1579.

If Nancy was not at the Sylvania Moose Lodge, you would find her at the American Legion Post 468 in Sylvania, Ohio serving and loving on the Veterans who have served our country.

A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held at the Sylvania Moose Lodge, 6072 Main St., Sylvania, Ohio on Sunday, September 28, 2025. Friends and family are called to gather for a one-hour visitation followed by a brief ceremony presented by The Women of the Moose from 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. All are welcome to stay and join the family for lunch and a celebration of her life from 1:00 p.m.- 4:00 p.m.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, specifically Amanda Hershberger, for her exceptional care and kindness.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Little Blessings Veteran Community Outreach in Ottawa Lake, Michigan.
