Nancy Mary Maragioglio (nee McAleer), 89, of Port Orange, Florida, passed away peacefully August 19, 2025. Nancy, born August 10, 1936, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Margaret and John McAleer.
Nancy married Anthony (Tony) Maragioglio June 18, 1955. Nancy and Tony moved from Long Island, New York to Florida where Nancy added her touch of "magic" every day of her 18-year career in the costuming departments at Epcot and Disney World, where she was highly regarded by all and set a high standard for others to follow.
Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, Nancy will be remembered for her love of family, her generosity, kindness, delicious cooking, endless energy, and just the right amount of "sassiness." Nancy was the center of our family, still caring for the wellbeing of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren in her final days. She spoke of her many blessings, including her family and friends who meant so much to her. She knows that she was loved by so many.
She was preceded in death by her husband Tony; parents and three siblings David McAleer, John McAleer, and Joan Scandlin.
She is survived by her children, Deborah (late husband George), Annette (Ralph), Anthony (Nancy), and Edward (Susan); siblings Dolores McMurray, Sandra Salstrom, Linda Pococroba, and Cheryl Wilson; four grandchildren, Jason (Lauren), Brandon (Kim), Thomas (Nicole), and Stephanie (Trent); nine great-grandchildren, Ben, Colin, Kinzley, Breck, Thomas, Ella, Jack, Chase, and Lucy.
A memorial service and burial will be held October 3, 2025, 10 a.m. at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, FL. In lieu of flowers, the family request that, if you are so inclined, donations may be made to Give Kids The World at www.gktw.org.
