Nancy Lou (Cavender) Marion, 94, passed peacefully into her Heavenly reunion on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at Sundale Nursing Home in Morgantown.
She was born on March 29, 1931 in Coopers Creek, WV, one of 14 children of Arthur and Lucy Mae Burdette Cavender. Nancy graduated from Elkview High School in 1950. She was employed by C&P Telephone in the early 1950s. She served as a dietary aide at Jackson General Hospital in the mid 1970s.
Nancy was preceded in death by her son James in 1977; her husband of 69 years, Charles Marion, in June 2025; twelve sisters and one brother. Survivors include her son, Karl, of Morgantown (wife Kathy); grandchildren Emily Marion Hughes of Charlotte, NC (husband Dom), Jeffrey Marion of Fairfax, VA (wife Ashley), and Aimee Marion of Morgantown; great grandchildren Ruby Marion and Owen Marion.
