Nancy Morgan Obituary

Published by Legacy on Feb. 20, 2026.
Nancy Jane Morgan (Lambert), age 75, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2026, in Milford, Delaware.

Born on November 24, 1950, in Jefferson, North Carolina, Nancy was the beloved daughter of Avery M. and Sally J. Lambert. She graduated from Saint Michaels High School in St. Michaels, Maryland, in 1968 and went on to build a life centered around hard work, family devotion, and quiet joys.

Throughout her career, Nancy contributed her talents to several local businesses including Milford Stitching Co., Caulk Dentsply, Walmart, and Royal Farms. Her dedication and work ethic were evident in every role she took on.

Nancy's heart was always with her family. Nancy was preceded in death by her cherished husband John "Jack" Morgan. She was a devoted mother to Jacqueline "Jackie" Hollingsworth and mother-in-law to Mike Hollingsworth, with whom she lived the last 25 years. Her love extended deeply to her grandchildren-Tiffany Broome (Justin), Michael Hollingsworth II (Lin), Shannon Geyer (Zeph), and Mark Hollingsworth (Alexis) and her great-grandchildren Skylar Broome, Isabelle Hollingsworth, Andy Geyer, Lillian Hollingsworth, Wyatt Geyer and Elizabeth Hollingsworth.

She shared a close bond with her siblings: Kenny Lambert (Henrietta) of Hampton, Va, Elizabeth "Beth" Gowe (Larry) of McDaniel, Md, and the late Robert "Bobby" W. Lambert. In addition, she is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and "bonus" children & grandchildren within the community, whom she dearly loved. She was especially close to her nieces Sara Tyler & Meghaan Lane (Goddaughter).

Nancy found joy in the simple pleasures of life-spending time with family was always at the center of her world. She had a passion for needlework, especially crochet, and could often be found reading or enjoying a shopping trip or meal out at a favorite restaurant. She delighted in amusement parks and RV camping adventures, auctions, road trips with her sister, Beth, to Williamsburg, VA & North Carolina to visit family and never missed an opportunity to support anything her grandchildren were involved with.

Gentle and kind-hearted, Nancy lived by the values of love and putting family first. Her presence brought warmth to every gathering and comfort to those around her.

May her memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her. A Memorial Service will be held on February 28, 2026, at 01:00 PM at Lincoln Community Church, 8630 3rd Street, Lincoln, DE 19960. Cremation services provided by Benny Smith Funeral Homes, Milford, DE 19963. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Chesapeake Chrysalis, c/o Joe Shockley, 16510 Retreat Circle, Milford, DE 19963.
