Nancy Morrison Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home Inc. from Apr. 30 to May 1, 2022.
Nancy J. (Farr) Morrison

On Wednesday, April 27th, the world figuratively lost a giant and literally lost a small, eccentric woman.
Nancy Farr was born and raised in Wadsworth, the fourth of James and Barbara Farr's five children. A gifted and imaginative child, she was noted for her triumph in the second grade spelling bee and her penmanship. She went on to study cosmetology.
She married her high school sweetheart, taking nearly 35 years to realize this was probably not the best idea. In that time she more-or-less successfully raised three children.
She was a fan of John Lennon and 1970s rock, maintaining a vast reserve of musical trivia to quiz anyone who would listen. She was a notable inventor of the impractical, the impossible, and the already-invented. She liked clean floors, leaf blowers, and sweepers. She was a fan of true crime before it was cool. She loved Cleveland sports and Nebraska football. She lived for cold, cloudy days and beach vacations. She was an avid connoisseur of all of the most delightful confectioneries. She was a world traveler, especially when she didn't miss her flight.
In her brief three score and four years she was a daughter, a sister, a friend, a wife, a Yooper, a hairdresser, a mom, a Canadian, a Husker, possibly a suspect, and a grandma. She was loyal and charismatic. She was confusing and infuriating. She was always there for those who needed it the most. Through it all she was always just Nan. She was the best.
Nancy is survived by her children, Steven (Valerie), Ellen, Greg (Zoe), her grandchildren Henry, Sam, and Luna, her sister Kathy, and brothers Dave and Tom. She is proceeded in death by her parents James and Barbara, and sister Sue.
A remembrance service will be held at a later time. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
