Sally Ann Morrison

Sally Ann Morrison, 88, residing in Amherst, passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at Ames Family Hospice House in Westlake, Ohio.

Sally was born on May 21, 1937 in Canton, Ohio to the late Homer and Florence (Winifred) Herbert.

Sally was a 1955 graduate of the Canton Lincoln High School. She attended Bowling Green State University where she received a Masters Degree in Education, and was a member of the Phi Delta Kappa International Sorority. Sally devoted more than thirty-three years to shaping young minds as a teacher with Edison Local School District and Vermilion City Schools. Throughout her career, she touched countless lives with her patience, dedication, and genuine love for her students. She was an active member of the Red Hat Society and her sorority, where she cherished the friendships and fellowship she found there. Sally also enjoyed volunteering at Back to the Wild, giving her time and compassion to the care and rehabilitation of wildlife.

Sally is survived by her close friends and family, Scott and Linda Lanham, Jake Webber and Tonya Lanham, Shauna Lanham; best friend, Connie Lanham and her cherished parrot, Clyde Boy.

In addition to her parents, Sally is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald E. Morrison in 2000.

Friends may call on Saturday, March 7th, 2026 from 10 a.m. until time of funeral services at 11 a.m. at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky with Pastor Wally Gilbert presiding. Entombment will follow in Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky, Ohio.
